The City of Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, has pursued integrated city planning and management to become a sustainable city (figure 3.20). The city has a comprehensive urban vision, environmental programs, and concrete action plans to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and tackle climate change. It implements integrated urban planning approaches that consider ecological benefits and efficient resource use.

Building on last year’s successful forum, this year we will showcase ESMAP’s analytical and advisory activities, technical assistance, global knowledge products and innovative planning tools. We hope the forum will be an opportunity for participants to interact with ESMAP donors and clients, learn from the experiences of operational staff, and explore current  topics and cutting-edge solutions in the energy sector.
