Presentations available: Daures Green Village, Daures Green Hydrogen Consortium | Oshivela - Green Iron From Namibia, Hylron | ESMAP's Industrial Decarbonization Program, ESMAP | Namibia Zhero Molecules Walvis Bay Project This joint ESMAP and Eastern and Southern Africa Energy and Extractives webinar explored Namibia’s journey toward green industrialization, with a focus on green hydrogen and its derivatives. Participants learned about Namibia’s progress, including projects currently under implementation, and gain insights into recent milestones, key challenges, and lessons learned. And, how the World Bank is supporting the country’s green industrialization and green hydrogen economy by strengthening the enabling environment, mobilizing financing, creating jobs, and fostering private sector partnerships. Participants also interacted with H4D partners and stakeholders the next steps for accelerating Namibia’s green industrialization ambitions and positioning the country as a leading player in Africa’s clean energy landscape.
