Join us for an engaging discussion on the Revolving Fund under the Rural Electricity Access Project for Underserved Regions (REAPUR) — a transformative facility that has enabled Cameroon to provide electricity access to approximately 1.6 million people since October 2022. With a total allocation of US$21.2 million, the fund pre-financed electricity connection costs for 322,906 households as of November 2025, surpassing its original target of 163,000 connections. The Revolving Fund journey illustrates how flexible implementation, anchored in core objectives, can turn challenges into opportunities for sustainable impact.

During this session you will learn how revolving pre-financing lowered affordability barriers and accelerated connections; governance and operational design that kept results on track; and lessons to replicate across Sub-Saharan Africa to deliver on SDG7. This session will bring together key stakeholders including representatives from ENEO (Cameroon’s distribution company), REAPUR PIU Coordinator and World Bank/ESMAP team.

This is the third session of the learning series Electrifying Africa: Delivering on Mission 300 Faster Together.
