Join our ESMAP webinar on transitioning school cooking from traditional methods to cleaner alternatives. The session is geared toward governments and development partners seeking practical options to advance clean institutional cooking in schools.

In this session the Modern Energy Cooking Services (MECS) program will share guidelines for designing and implementing electric cooking solutions in school settings. Drawing on operational experience, Ecobora will discuss the deployment of solar ecooking systems in Kenyan schools. In addition, World Bank energy teams from Ghana and Rwanda will present country-level perspectives on designing and implementing institutional cooking operations.

The webinar will highlight lessons from assessments of institutional cooking demand, analyses of fuel supply chains and supply security, policy alignment across energy, education, and environment, and evaluations of delivery, financing, and operational models for institutions.
