ESMAP REPORT LAUNCH: Sustainable Energy for Schools and Health Centers: PPPs for People’s Prosperity | June 1 @8:00AM | Online Event

Join our ESMAP report launch, Sustainable Energy for Schools and Health Centers: Public-Private Partnerships for People’s Prosperity, which introduces a new vision for delivering sustainable energy services to the poorest and most underserved communities.

Reliable electricity is about far more than turning on the lights. In schools, it enables digital learning, connectivity, and safer environments for students and teachers. In health centers, it powers life-saving equipment, vaccine cold chains, and essential healthcare services. Yet across many developing countries, public institutions still face unreliable energy access, underperforming systems, and limited resources for long-term maintenance.

This report presents a new approach to “PPPs for People’s Prosperity” — partnerships that unite governments, the private sector, and development partners to move beyond one-off infrastructure investments toward long-term, service-oriented solutions.

Bringing together leaders from governments, industry, development institutions, and the World Bank Group, this webinar will focus on practical experiences and actionable pathways to scale the electrification of schools and health facilities — ensuring that reliable energy becomes a foundation for better education, stronger healthcare systems, and greater opportunity for all.

Join us to explore how sustainable energy can advance human development where it matters most.
