Join ESMAP and End User Subsidy Lab (EUSL) for a two-part webinar series sharing lessons and recommendations from Demand-Side Subsidy (DSS) pilots in Liberia, Malawi, Niger, and Uganda — conducted by EnDev from 2022 to 2026 — offering practical insights on designing and implementing DSS schemes across diverse contexts. The series is designed for government representatives, development actors, and private sector stakeholders engaged in planning and implementing energy access support schemes.

The first webinar draws on experiences from Liberia and Niger to explore the special considerations that arise when introducing a DSS scheme in nascent markets. Participants will hear firsthand accounts of how each program was implemented, what obstacles were encountered, and what is recommended for future initiatives.

The second webinar shifts focus to Malawi and Uganda, examining the specific dynamics of applying demand-side subsidies within the cookstove sector.
