Power Sector Policy Note for the Kyrgyz Republic

This Note analyzes the principal challenges in the power sector of the Kyrgyz Republic, including reliability and service quality, the financial health of power companies, ageing infrastructure, and demand gaps. It proposes a comprehensive package of reforms to address these issues, including establishing effective performance monitoring, implementing a clear and predictable tariff setting methodology, and improving sector governance.
