Mapping Solar and Wind Potential: Job Done

With the launch of the Global Solar Atlas and relaunch of the Global Wind Atlas over the last year, getting a quick estimate of solar or wind resource potential has never been so easy. These two web-based tools provide users with the latest data, freely available, with minimal expertise required. Governments and development agencies will often spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to produce a solar or wind map of a country – and yet this is no longer needed thanks to this investment by the World Bank, ESMAP and DTU Wind*.
