ESMAP Webinar: Navigating Cbam: Trade, Competitiveness, Opportunities For Hydrogen Based Industries | MARCH 19 @9:00 AM EST
RECORDING | PRESENTATIONS:
Join ESMAP’s (Hydrogen for Development Partnership H4D) webinar to explore how the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) is impacting global trade and industrial decarbonization. A European Union climate policy tool fully effective from 2026, CBAM puts a carbon price on imports of carbon-intensive goods — including cement, steel, aluminum, fertilizers, electricity, and hydrogen — ensuring that the carbon cost of production is reflected at the border.
During this session, the discussion will focus on strategic sectors where emerging hydrogen-derived value chains — green hydrogen, green steel, and green ammonia — intersect with evolving climate-related trade regulations.
By bringing together perspectives from policy, industry, and development institutions, the session will offer insights on how countries and industries can navigate the changing trade landscape while advancing low-carbon industrial transformation.
